Hello, I am trying to bridge my Wireless DSL connection and my Ad-Hoc network (so I can boost a weak signal, locally) and I connect to the Ad-Hoc network on a different computer, and I am unable to get the Internet. I connect successfully locally, but not out to the Internet. I've managed to exactly the same previously, and had all computers connecting out to the Net. I do believe it's a DNS issue as I can ping the router and other computers on the network, but cannot ping the DNS servers (they were assigned by DHCP), however if I connect directly to the router, then I can connect to the Internet, but can't ping the DNS either.

Hi, remember "my Wireless DSL connection and my Ad-Hoc network" must has different network. Hi Everwin, thanks for your help, but in the end it wasn't a DNS issue. I'm not sure what the problem is. On the computer that is bridging, I've assigned an IP address to it of 192.168.0.10, and the router's IP is 192.168.0.1. When I've assigned a static IP address the first time, the AdHoc was working, and everyone could access the Internet. And then I decided to add an additional set of IPs/Gateways into the settings, as I have a different router that I want the computers to connect to as well. I eventually removed those additional IPs as it wasn't working. After that, the AdHoc wasn't working, even with the correct IPs. I then decided to remove the IP, and set it to DHCP, then suddenly I could access the Internet and computers were able to access to the Internet (briefly). I then I told Windows to reset the network adaptor on the bridge and other computers as some were not able to connect to the Net, and sicne then I haven't been able to get the Internet working over Ad-Hoc. I have a Linksys router, which is set as the DHCP Server. The reason I added a static IP to the bridge was that computers were not even able to get a stable local connection. Network Connections Centre was showing the connections, connecting, and reconnecting constantly. I then rebooted the Bridge computer, and the clients, and I was able to access the Internet briefly over the ad-hoc, but stopped working for whatever reason. I really cannot figure out why the bridge isn't bridging, or assigning IP addresses. I have had it all working before, but really don't know why it isn't doing it now.
