Brand new notebook needs 32Gb of Recovery drive space?

Hi,

A Hp Envy 17 notebook, run for the very first time, asks for a Flash Drive of at least 32Gb to make a recovery drive.
Anyone any ideas on how to reduce this, dare I say ridiculous, amount of memory for a simple recovery drive?

HP support would explain this for your particular case.

However, for creating recovery installation disk you will need less space (DVD size), for recovery of your istalation 32 GB space is appropriate space.

Hi Swift,

Considering it is the first time to use the HP machine ,I agree with Milos. It is recommended to ask for help from the HP forum .They will be more familiar with this case .
