Why you want to perform recovery? for some cases you don't need to perform recovery in order to fix OS issue

may I know your PC model?

did you set boot sequence in BIOS?

You can use option reset inside windows or run recovery software (if this PC OEM)

after booting  does not show windows boot manager.

That sounds normal.  What do you see instead?  What were you expecting to see?  Are you dual booting?  What does  bcdedit  show you?

Hi Kriapl ,

Are you suffering a booting issue and want to use the recovey disk to recover the machine or something else ?Would you please share us more details ?

If you have got a USB recovery disk and want to boot from it ,have you tried to set the USB boot option in BIOS just as britishdhez said ?

If we just want to recover our machine to a previous point and the machine can be started ,we can choose the "Open System Restore" option .
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Recovery

If the machine failed to boot up ,we can choose boot from the recovery disk (set the BIOS),and choose the "System Restore " option.
We also can refer to the link as britishdhez offered to recover the machine from a system image.

Best regards
