Boot up bios slow and freezes
For three days days now I have being experiencing problem with the booting up of my computer. Firstly, if it gets pass the problem my OS which is windows 7 loads fine so the problem seem not to be caused by the OS. When I power on the computer the screen that has the instruction on which key to press to get into the bios loads slowly and sometimes may just freeze and I have to power off then on power the computer on again. Then it either freezes or loads slowly. If I get the chance to go into the bios while changing the settings it may freeze before I get to save the settings. So when I get into to the bios and change the settings fast and save it. It don't freeze in the bios it restarts and loads slowly till it reaches the point of loading the OS there after everything is fine. So my question is how to fix this and why all of a sudden this is happening ? Someone please help! Thanks for try to help!

Hi, after checking your issue, the issue not be caused by operation system itself, it might be caused by hardware. Update your BIOS first to see if the same issue occurs. Also try resetting BIOS to default. If it still does not work, please unplug unnecessary hardware, reinsert Memory Card, VGA Card, Network Card for test. Or you can ask the PC manufacturer to check if any hardware have issue or broken. Hope it helps. Hello Nicholas, what you describe clearly seems to be a hardware issue. First check and make sure that your fan for you CPU is clean with plenty of air flow. Second I would take everything out and re-seat it(i.e. memory, sound card and/or video card.) Third: Turn on your computer and make sure that the cpu fan is turning while on. Unplug all connections from the Power supply and plug them back in. If none of this prevails, remove your Power supply and have it tested. You may want to do a search of the motherboard model to see if this has been an issue. The why all of a sudden this is happening? I don't have that answer. JB

If you have a USB external HDD, try turning it off or unplugging the USB connection before turning on the computer. There have been several posts about this issue; I found them when I started experiencing the problem.
