Boot non-windows VHD?
Hello,I would like to boot my computer from an Ubuntu VHD image. Is it possible to do something like this? I tried mounting the VHD and adding a bootloader option (bcdedit), but it didn't work. Is it possible for me to do what I want?--Joel

No. Once control is passed to Ubuntu, it has no idea how to handle VHD images.

I found the answer to my specific situation. Wubi will do what I wanted in this specific case. It won't work with other VHD images.
