Bluetooth Device BT513 or Z-W99 is connected to the 'Stereo Audio Gateway' service on your computer
  • I have a couple of bluetooth stereo headset. I am able to pair it and use it with my cell phone and laptop. It used to work with my Samsung laptop, running Win 8.1, up until 3 weeks ago and all of a sudden both headsets stopped receiving audio from my laptop. I get the following message on the taskbar when I turn on either one; "Bluetooth Device BT513 or Z-W99 is connected to the 'Stereo Audio Gateway' service on your computer"

Where do I find the Stereo Audio Gateway and how do I make it work with my laptop again?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

This service provides the functionality to interface with TAPI to control a cellular phone and route audio to the Bluetooth chip. But I dont think this service is what you need.

Seems like this happens when Windows would pair with the device but had no drivers for any of the devices. Try remove these devices and reinstall them one by one for good measure. Since we do have limitations for Bluetooth in our environment we cannot do test run, some solutions has been mentioned in following thread. Give it a try.
