Hi Auntie, ·Did you enable any feature in Schedule tasks feature?·What is the result after running the check disk?·What is the make and model number of the computer?·What is the service pack installed on your computer? If the computer is not shut down properly then the computer starts the check disk on next restart. Follow the steps from the below link and check the results: Chkdsk.exe or Autochk.exe starts when you try to shut down or restart your computer: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/831426 Regards:Samhrutha G S - Microsoft Support.Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think.
