Blue screen of death and STOP message 0X00000019
I've looked at answers to questions on blue screen stop error 0X00000019 but no one seem to have exactly the same message I get. I presume the details within the brackets are specific to each problem. My message is STOP: 0X00000019 (0X00000020, 0X84DEBD40, 0X84DEBD58, 0X1A030001) and occurs whenever I try to access my CD/DVD drives. Once I've extracted the disc and switched off I can restart the computer as normal. The message doesn't seem to be recognised by MS Help lines. Anyone any ideas please?

Hi, 1. Does it happen when a particular CD is inside the drive? Let us uninstall and reinstall the DVD/CD drive and check. Method 1.a. Click Start, click Run, and then type devmgmt.msc and press enter.b. In device manager browse to the CD/DVD drive and right click on it.c. Choose uninstall.d. Restart the computer and check.Note: It will automatically re-install the drive on restart.Refer:How to manage devices in Windows XPhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/283658 Method 2.Also I would ask you to check the event viewer logs on this issue.Refer:How to view and manage event logs in Event Viewer in Windows XPhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/308427Hope this helps. Thanks and Regards:Shekhar S - Microsoft Support.
