Blue screen, Memory dump Win 7 Ultimimate
Hi! My computer gives me blue screens and then reboot. Most often with Mozilla and Skype, but now on every thing. I have downloaded win debug but can´t open files or even upload them to skyflash, need to be an admin. But I´m a admin, it still won´t let me. I have run cmc and this /net user administrator active:yes someting, but still can´t open .dmp. This mega multi level admin jungle is so frustrating!!! Why did they mess Win 7 up with it? It´s my computer I bought it, I am admin!! Windows Obey !! Anyway, how can i upload or view .dmp files for analysis? I don´t wan´t to by Mac, I reealy don´t. A bugcheck (BSOD) is a mechanism to protect your PC from damage. To see the cause I have to take a look at the dumps with the Debugging Tools for Windows. Please start the Windows Explorer and go to the folder C:\Windows\Minidump. Next, copy the dmp files to your desktop , zip all dmp into 1 zip file and upload the zip file to your public Skydrive [1] folder and post a link here. Please download memtest86+ [1], burn a new bootable CD (use a CD-RW if possible) from the ISO (download and use ImgBurn [2][3] to do this or make double click on the ISO in Windows 7), reboot your PC and scan your RAM 4-5hours for errors. If it detects errors, replace the faulty RAM. If the memtest tells no error, please download CPU-Z [4], look in the memory and SPD tab and verify that the current RAM Speed and the Timings match to the values that you see in the SPD tab. If your RAM run at CR (Command Rate) 1T, change the value into 2T in the BIOS. Also try to updaet the BIOS, if possible: BiosVersion = 0504 BiosReleaseDate = 05/19/2009 BaseBoardManufacturer = ASUSTeK Computer INC. BaseBoardProduct = P6T DELUXE V2 BaseBoardVersion = Rev 1.xx Which RAM do you use? Is the RAM compatible to the ASUS board? Hi Tanks for being out there! :) its corsair Corsair Dominator ddr3 12gb I bought this computer last summer (used) and i has never been any problem. It has been very very stable. So parts must be compatible other wise it should have been trouble earlyer? I don´t overclock anyting. But som weeks ago, we lost power in our house, and bios reseted itself some way, it lost settings for hardisk. Perhaps it is somting with Bios as You say? Tanks again I realy appreciate your healp!!

Hi, ok, so please make the RAM test. Maybe the power lost damaged the RAM or the motherboard. André"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

Hi Tanks for the instruction, it was easy to follow. I have run the test for 5 hours, it made like 4 cycles of test. No errors was found. I guess it is the Mother board then?

I have ssd disk, can they be damaged too?
January 28th, 2011 4:46pm

yes. An SSD uses flash memory. Run a test tool from the SSD manufacture."A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/
