Blue Screen Continuously
Throughout the day, my system will stop and go into a blue screen. The stop message are not the same, I have gotten 0xc2, 0xd1, 0xbe, 0x0a, and 0x9b as an example. My system specs are as follows: I am running Windows 7 32, I have 4gig of Memory, Gigabyte motherboard with Intel i7 processor. I have a Nvidia GeForce 9800 video card installed. I have verified the drivers installed to be compatible with Windows 7, and have updated patches for both hardware and software. Any help will be appreciated.

Are they all "STOP" messages? Have you checked your RAM? (Booting into a recovery partition or off of Windows install media has an option to test your RAM.) Any possibility you may have a virus/malware? Perform a back-up of your data and (at your own risk) run: Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware. <cite>www.malwarebytes.org/</cite> I have seen alot of new rogue AV programs that don't fully install (a good thing), but then end up continually crashing Windows (the bad thing) because they like to hook onto Winlogon.exe, etc. They can cause a STOP screen because they access core Windows files incorrectly. I have some more brutal methods, but let's start with the two above.MCSE: 6771498

Yes, they are all stop messages. and No. I haven't checked the memory. I will check both the memory and use your program. At my own risk. :)

A bugcheck (BSOD) is a mechanism to protect your PC from damage. To see the cause I have to take a look at the dumps with the Debugging Tools for Windows. Please start the Windows Explorer and go to the folder C:\Windows\Minidump. Next, copy the dmp files to your desktop, zip all dmp into 1 zip file and upload the zip file to your public Skydrive [1] folder and post a link here. First thing, I removed the memory and replaced it, then ran a virus scan. During the scanning the system blue screened. I received the stop error 0x1A. Next, the dump files exceed the 50meg limit. I was unable to place the file/s on the site.

Zip your dmp file and upload it here. If the decode is successful, show us the relevant part. - pa

zip the dump in 50MB parts or upload it to mediafire.com: http://www.mediafire.com/"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

Hi Vicki, I got the dump. This is the bug check you get: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (1a) # Any other values for parameter 1 must be individually examined. Please download memtest86+ [1], burn a new bootable CD (use a CD-RW if possible) from the ISO (download and use ImgBurn [2] to do this make double click on the ISO in Windows 7), reboot your PC and scan your RAM 4-5hours for errors. If it detects errors, replace the faulty RAM. Thank you for all of the help that you are providing. I have been running the memory test it is finding errors. My question is how many passes do I let this go through and how will I know which module is damaged? Vicki

how will I know which module is damaged? Vicki if you have several modules, remove all others and only test 1 RAM module. So you can see which one is damaged."A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

I ran the scan, found only one of the sticks was bad. I will be sending the stick to the company that I purchased it from. I have not turned the system back on to see if I will receive any blue screens since removing the stick. I will do that today. Thank you once again for all of your help. I am hoping that this will resolve the issue, and I can finally get this system out of my house. :) Vicki
