Blue Screen
I have Windows XP Home edition SP3, Compac presario 700. I'm on the internet and suddenly I get a blue screen and it's too fast to read, laptop does an automatic shutdown and restart. The first time it happened I got a message from Microsoft giving three possible solutions: update drivers , do a check disk, and I can't remember the other option. I did the last two and went to Microsoft site and made sure my laptop gets automatic updates somehow. Hoped the problem was fixed knew it probably wasn't so does anybody know what the problem is? Laptop runs fine between incidents.1 person got this answerI do too

Check Event Viewer (Adminastrative Tools) for any err events at the shutdown time You can modify the auto restart option, so that the PC doesnt restart on err, that way you will see the actual BSOD err msg Do NOT use MSUpdate for drivers, which if required you obtain from your Laptop maker, only take Important/Critical updates and NOT reccommended updates
Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now
