Block children from Internet
Is there a way that I can allow my children to access the regular programs on my computer, but totally block the internet from their use? I have DSL. I currently have an administrative password to block access to the computer totally. This is not ideal; I have found that I cannot block them from all ____ sites; there are too many and have alternate paths to get them open.1 person needs an answerI do too

If the children are allowed some access to the Internet but you want to restrict what websites they can go to, OpenDNS will work very well for you. It's free. If you want to forbid them from any Internet access, then if you have a router it may have configuration options to do this. Refer to the router manual. If this is the only computer and it is connected directly to the DSL modem, simply remove the ethernet cable and lock it away when you don't want anyone but you to go online.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
