Block Outgoing calls when Polycom CX3000 is locked

Hello,

We bought several CX3000 Polycoms on which we sign in with a Lync user.

The phone locks after 10 inactive minutes but even when the phone is locked it is still possible to make outgoing calls.

Is it already possible to block outgoing calls when the phone is locked?
Or are the functions limited like they said in topic Lync phone lock still can dial out

We use Lync 2013 server

Any help is welcome

Hi

first you need to update the firmware if not already done so to CU14 (August 2014).

Then set your client policy like

Set-CsClientPolicy -Identity "policyname" -DisableHandsetOnLockedMachine $True

reboot the Polycom and sign back in.

Hi,

Agree with Mark Vale.

When this Lync client policy parameter "DisableHandsetOnLockedMachine " to True, users will not be able to use their Polycom handset if the computer that the handset is connected to is locked. To use the handset, users will first have to unlock the computer.

When set to False, users will be allowed to use their handset even if the
computer the handset is connected to is locked.
