Blank screen on wake from sleep
Hello all,I have installed Win7 on my Asus P5GC-MX. It was running vista before with no problems. I use that computer only as a media center to watch TV.It goes to sleep no problems (Hybrid sleep) but when it wakes up, whether on its own or when I wake it up, there is no video. The drive runs, the keyboard lights up. The remote IR lights up when I use the remote but nothing else happens. I have to reset it to bring it back to life at which times it resumes from the hard drive since it was in hybrid sleep. If I turn off hybrid sleep then I get the option to run save mode since I just did a hard reset.I have a gforce 7300 LE graphic card. I tried the gforce latest driver and the win7 beta one. no difference. I upgraded the Bios to the latest also.It seems to resume very fast by the way. A couple of seconds only as advertized. Only it's useless with no video.Any ideas how I can track down the problem? Thanks,Jeannette

I had the same problem. I have sincegone back to Vista due to several Media center problems. I posted to a thread on thegreenbutton regarding problems watching live or recorded NBC content such as Law & Order, 30 Rock, etc. Until these issues are resolved I'm going to stick with Vista

Do you have dual display (2 or more monitors)?

This problem plagued me as well for a long time. I solved it today by selecting a non-aero theme. Go to Ctrl Panel. Under Appearances, click Change the Theme and then select any one of the themes under Basic and High contrast theme section. Hope this helps you.
