HI Gene Hot fix download available try it. follow this, Click Start Orb > type cmd in the search box > right-click cmd in results above > click Run as administrator - At the prompt type powercfg -devicequery > press enter, it tells you what devices may cause problems with sleep mode Also, update all the device drivers including chipset driver, mouse driver and display card driver. Please run Windows Update and keep the system update to date. Besides, if there is any security (anti-virus, anti-spyware) software installed, temporary disable or turn them off to check the result. if the issue persists you can also perform Clean Boot test How to perform Clean Boot: 1. Click Start, type MSCONFIG in the Search Bar and Press Enter to start the System Configuration Utility. Please click Continue if the "User Account Control" window pops up. 2. Click the Services tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click Disable All (if it is not gray). 3. Click the Startup tab, click Disable All and click OK. 4. Restart the computer and test the issue. ==> Clean Boot is a troubleshooting step. If some programs have been disabled during the troubleshooting, we can enable them later. If there appears System Configuration Utility , check the box of "Don't show this message" and then click OK. hope it helps Nikhil

Hi,Besides what Nikhil said, I would like to know if all Dell Laptops have the same issue? When did the issue first occur? Could you tell me the model of your PCs?As they encountered this when using windows vista 32 bit, I believe it has little to do with the operating system but power supply or BIOS settings.Try upgrading and/or resetting the BIOS settings to the default and disconnect all but the necessary devices (keyboard + maybe a mouse), perform sleep offline to check the result. In addition, collecting event log may be of more help:1. Click "Start", in the Start Search bar, type in "EVENTVWR" (without the quotation marks) and press Enter. Note: Click Continue if the User Account Control (UAC) window prompts. 2. On the left pane, click "Windows logs" to expand the subfolders.3. Right click the "Application" and choose "Save All events As". Choose Desktop in the left list, and save the log file using "app" as the name.4. Right click the "System" and choose "Save All events As". Choose Desktop in the left list, and save the log file using "sys" as the name.5. Refer to the Desktop, you will find the two saved files, then drop it on a public share on http://skydrive.live.com and post the link here.
