I've been searching high and low for this issue that showed on my system today. My desktop will not display a back ground. Explorer works fine, all icons show up, windows open and close, mouse works. I have dual screesn and dual video cards installed, tried all the fixes, down loaded and tried Pevx fix, nothing works. I can right click the screen and select different desktops, none show up, thay are on the small preview. I can change the screen from black to any of the other solid colors, but can't use any type of pictoral display. Any?

Try deleting the following. %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\TranscodedWallpaper.jpg
