Bits service keeps stopping do I need to start bitlocker to keep it running

If by BITS you mean Background Intelligent Transfer Service (if you get something related to BITS service when you use Windows Update, then yes it's this BITS service) keeps stopping, then please understand that this and BitLocker have nothing in common
except for both being part of Windows, so
do I need to start bitlocker to keep it running
is false.
As for the BITS service keeps stopping, can you please explain what happens?
Do you receive any messages/errors from any application stating about stopped BITS service. If yes, please post the entire message here.
You may also want to check that BITS service is set to start automatically on startup. Press Windows key + R > type
services.msc and press Enter > find Background Intelligent Transfer Service > double-click it > Make sure
Startup type is set to Automatic or Automatic (Delayed Start) (if not, choose either of the options from the dropdown and click OK).
If it does not help, kindly provide some more information.
