Bitlockers Recovery Password, where is it stored?
I wonder where the Recovery Password (48-digits) is stored when using Bitlocker : 1. With TPM+Pin ? 2. Without TPM but with Startup Key ? I wonder because this video tells me that they can recover the Recovery Password using a memorydump+diskdump, but only when not using TPM. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbcEnrZiftQ I thought Recovery Password were encrypted too, with AES which I don't think someone can "crack".

Hi, The Bitlocker wizard will ask where you want to save the recovery key. If you are in a Domain environment, the Domain admin can choose whether to save the recovery key into AD database. Juke Chou TechNet Community Support
