Hi Kitelle, Dose Event ID 24620 is logged in Event Viewer? Did this issue occur before? What is the error message when you stating the driver? Event ID 24620 is the issue relate with BitLocker Drive Encryption, you can use BitLocker Repair Tool to solve this problem, you can refer: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc734057(WS.10).aspx Hope it helps. I have experienced the identical behavior. I have a completely new system and installed Windows 7 Ultimate Edition. I have never enabled or used BitLocker. I just verified that it didn't get enabled somehow and the two (only) drives on the system show BitLocker Off. Furthermore I checked the BitLocker Drive Encryption service and it is set to Manual. Despite this I have had 11 24620 events in the last 10 days: one on 1/19/2011, two on 1/22, one each on 1/25 and 1/27, and finally 6 occur yesterday (3 at 9:00:44-9:00:45 AM and 3 at 9:08:26-9:08:27). Using the "BitLocker Repair Tool" makes no sense since it has never "touched" any of my drives (nor do I ever intend to use it). Jay
