We are currently rolling out Windows 7 Professional. Our CIO would like to utilize Bitlocker but to my suprise I discoverd that it is unavailable in this version. Does anyone know if MS will make this available via SP1? Thank you ZT

Bit locker is avaliable in certain version of Windows 7(Ultimate and Enterprise). Professional is NOT support bitlocker, it won't be avaliable in SP1 . If you plan to use bitlocker try to get license for these versions, you may contact Microsoft for more help.

Hi ZoeTaite, Bitlocker is only available in Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 7 Enterprise. If you would like to have this feature, you use Anytime Upgrade to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate.
