So I was trying to decrypt a Bitlocker-protected portable drive overnight and it seems to be stuck at 0.4% decryption completed (some other drives were encrypted around the same time but I don't think that should affect it much, right?) I guess either my USB 3.0 hub momentarily failed or my computer went to sleep during the process?
Anyway, I then paused decryption and opened up the error checking tool but it didn't complete (I don't think it even opened) but in the process, I agreed to turn off access to the drive during the "error check" that doesn't seem to have happened.
So recap: Not only can I not see the files on the drive, Windows can't even access the drive?
Btw, there's over 2TB worth of some pretty important data on this drive so can someone please help? I'd be willing to pay a reasonable amount for a software solution.

2 TB and no backup? You got to be kidding.
Please clarify if you already tried to reconnect the drive/reconnect it to other computers, maybe without USB but SATA instead.
I was going to back it up a few months ago but I guess I forgot about it haha
Anyway I managed to plug it into my ThinkPad's built-in USB ports and it showed the Bitlocker Drive Encryption screen and it looks like it was continuing to decrypt. It also showed up in File Explorer and it seems like my files are intact, so I just copied them onto a 4TB external drive.
I guess I got lucky and I'll try to setup automatic backups from now on.
Hi,
I just make an supplement, for the decrypt process slowly problem, it should be the HDD is too large and it do need more time to finished the decryption. Please also remember backup Bitlocker Recovery key in case the drive was locked forever.
