Bitlocker enabled drives not working with Vista and XP
Is there any way that we can use bitlocker enabled NTFS drives with WinXP and Vista machines? We recommend our users to enable bitlocker and now we badly need your support to find a tool or patches to fix this issue. We tried Bitlocker to go reader and didn't recognise the drives. :(Anas

BitLocker To Go Reader (bitlockertogo.exe) is a program that works on computers running Windows Vista or Windows XP, allowing you to open and view the content of removable drives that have been protected (or encrypted) with BitLocker Drive Encryption in Windows 7. Not possible by design. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee449438(WS.10).aspx#BKMK_whatisbltg What happens if I try to open a BitLocker-protected, NTFS-formatted removable drive by using a computer running Windows XP or Windows Vista? In most cases, Windows XP and Windows Vista will not be able to recognize a BitLocker-protected, NTFS-formatted removable drive. In many situations, the user will be prompted to format the drive. Because of this, it is recommended that removable drives be formatted by using the FAT, FAT32, or exFAT file system when using BitLocker. Manoj Sehgal
