Bitlocker command line
I use a computer named admsits01 to manage a bitlocker configuration on a remote computer named admsits02. I need to be able to access the data in case of a system failure. I'm stuck on the command line paramaters to use. Can anyone help? C:\>manage-dbe -tpm -computername admsits01 -TakeOwnership -computername admsits02 -recoverykey The above doesn't seem to work. I'm a novice so any assistance would be appreciated. Bart

Where do you want to store the recovery key? You can store the recovery key in Active Directory by using this command: manage-bde -protectors -adbackup C: -id {recoveryGUID} My suggestion would be, if you are a Software Assurance Customer you can get MDOP for very little. That gives you a toolset which included MBAM. Microsoft BitLocker Administration and Monitoring. That allows you manage all of your machines encryption and enable help desk users to unlock a machine if needs be.PLEASE MARK ANY ANSWERS TO HELP OTHERS Blog: rorymon.com Twitter: @Rorymon
