Bitlocker and TPM Question
This may have already been answered so I appologize in advance if this is the case. I have been seeing about one or two systems that have been encrypted with bitlocker enter recovery mode. While I understand the common causes I am failing to identify a commonality in my systems for this event. With that said I have but one question. Is it to be expected that the TPM should become uninitalized when Bitlocker enters recovery mode? In every case I am having to open TPM.msc, click initialize and reboot, select modify and then take ownership again. I am prompted to create the owner PWD but the PIN previously specified remains in effect. This happens only on laptops (Dell E6500) with Broadcom chips. With the number of blogs out there I am having difficulty finding a good source of information that explains this in a logical process. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
