Bitlocker Recovery Triggered by Using Power Button to Start Computer?
I have a Windows 7 Optiplex 580 that has bitlocker enabled. When I restart the system its fine. If I shutdown the system and then use Wake On LAN to start it, its fine. However, if I shutdown the system and then use the power button to start it back up, it triggers recovery, and I can see in the windows event log that a TPM PCR registry mismatch had occured. If I disabled and then enable bitlocker (to make it reset the PCR), the system is fine until the next time I use the power button. What could possibly be going on here?

Hi, This type issue occurs may be caused by the HDD is not the first boot device. We can test the issue by the following steps. 1. Suspend Bitlocker drive encryption by typing "manage-bde -protectors -disable c: from an elevated command prompt. Note, you may launch command prompt as administrator. 2. Go into the BIOS and change the Boot Order so the OS HDD is first in the list. 3. Boot into the Operating System and run "manage-bde -protectors -enable c:"Kim Zhou TechNet Community Support

It seems that this is not sufficient. We have set the HDD as first boot option, but have found that Bitlocker recovery is still triggered seemingly at random, and only with Dell Optiplex 580s.
