Bitlocker Decrypt Problem
Hi, I installed the RC when it came out and encrypted one of my USB drives successfully. No problem when using it at all using the RC. I then installed the new OEM version of Windows 7 Home premium forgetting it does not have bitlocker on it at all. does anyone know how i can unlock the drive using home premium or do i need to unlock it via a Win 7 Ultimate machine? I am using a Samsung R60plus laptop. Any help V much appreciated. V

As the content of any removable drive can be read by other OS:es such as Windows XP and Windows Vista, you should be able to read the content from the drive even on Windows 7 Home Premium as long as you have the password that you specified whenn encrypting the drive.Blogging about Windows for IT pros at www.theexperienceblog.com

Hi, Since Windows 7 Home Premium cannot support BitLocker, the USB drives still need to be connected to Windows 7 Ultimate or Enterprise for decryption. Regards, Sabrina
