Left PC overnight running bitlocker encryption, this morning shows 49% completed with a message that is no longer responding, have rebooted machine and it recognizes the drive and can ask for unlock password. I cannot see any files on the drive about 500GB of data. When I turn it on and off progress bar shows with encryption not responding at 49%. Any help appreciated, thanks.

Run manage-bde -status from elevated command prompt. Do you have the 48 digit pwd to unlock the drive? manage-bde -protectors -get D: where D is the drive letter. To unlock: manage-bde -unlock D: -pw Where D: is the drive letter or manage-bde -unlock D: -rp "xxx-xxxx-xxxxx-xxxx" you need to type the 48 digit recovery password.Manoj Sehgal
