I have Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit that is encrypted with BitLocker. I'm looking to use System Image Backup to save an image(s) to an external hard drive (unencrypted). If I restore the image, will the drive still be encrypted? Subsequently, will it work if the external drive (with the image) is also encrypted using Bitlocker?

However, I would create a decrypted system image periodically in case you need to replace a failed hard drive. Suspend for normal, frequent backups.
