BitLocker - Lock Status Unlocked

The output of the manage-bde -status command shows that the Lock Status is Unlocked for an encrypted drive that is not suspended.  The Windows 8.1 user interface even indicates an unlocked drive.

What does the lock status mean?  How does it differ from suspend status?

Hi,

This is by default.

It meas protected data with a recovery password or a recovery key.

Manage-bde: pause means pauses encryption or decryption.
