Binding to specific port when opening socket to remote host is blocked?
Hi,It seems like when opening a socket to a remote host (with a specified local port) this is blocked by windows 7 somehow.. I assume there is a bug somewhere or a "security feature". If this is a security feature, is there some way to turn it off? (Turning the firewall completely off does not work..)I work as a software developer, and use this local protbinding whensimulating several hosts (using port ranges), rather having to set up real networks.I have not tested this on Vista, but I know it works on XP and 2003 server.Best regards,Pete
