Bidirectional Support DISABLED, HELP!
When adding my Kodak AiO 5100 to my Home network I immediately get an error message stating that the "Bidirectional Support is Disabled". The error bubble flashes continually and I can't stop it unless I remove the device and restart my computer. However, Once added, even with the error message I AM ABLE to print via the network through my other computer that is connected to the printer using a USB cable. When I access the Properties and Ports tab everything is Grayed out and I can't do anything. The "Enabled" box is checked as well, already!!! Help! John

In all probability this is a driver/software/utility problem that should be addressed by Kodak. Do you have the most current Windows 7 software package from Kodak installed? Contact Kodak Technical Support and ask them about this. The Kodak AIO is a third party piece of hardware and the manufacturer/vendor is solely responsible for the functionality of it, not Microsoft. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. I have the same problem with my 3250. If you are running Windows 7 you can get rid of the pop up by going to "Show hidden icons" "Customize" then go to the printer and change it to "Hide icon and notifications" click OK and the bubble should stop coming up. This is the only work around I have been able to come up with. I bought the 3250 to replace my ESP3 that I put my fist through. It never had this problem. Lost my temper and really missing that printer. It wasn't the ESP3 causing my problem, but I found that out after I had to replace it. The problem with the ESP3 actually turned out to be a bad print cartridge.

I have the same problem with a 6150. Kodak techie from India spent three hours on my laptop and could not make it print using the wireless mode. Now I am getting the same flag saying bidirectional support disabled. How do you enable it?

Microsoft does not provide support for Kodak hardware.
