Best AV for Vista
Hi All, So I learned the hard way that Zone Alarm can't easily be uninstalled once Windows Vista is installed. :<)Now...that being taken care of, what do people think is the most comprehensive and best AV software to run with Vista? I'm currently running a trial version of Windows Live Care however, given the unresolved firewall issue, I don't think that is the one. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Mara

Thank you for choosing Windows Live OneCare, you've selected the right choice. WLOC has a very good firewall system, it works silently except you're asked to allow a program to access internet or not, you can add rules for firewall. WLOC is comprehensive system that inlcudes: Antivirus, Firewall, Backup, TuneUp system. Good luck

I was using F-Secure Internet Security 2007 before I went from XP to Vista. Although they haven't yet released a version for Vista (it's due for release in May), there is a Beta version available for trial and it seems to work pretty well (AV, spyware, firewall, spam etc.). It also has a very small footprint and you hardly know it's there. I've read a few reviews on various products and this one always seems to be in the top 3. Having previously used ZoneAlarm, Norton and various other products, I find that this is by far the easiest to setup and use. http://www.f-secure.com and http://www.f-secure.com/vista

Thanks to everyone for all of your suggestions. And yes, AV (worm protection, etc...)and SPAM filtering is my main concern - not firewall for obvious reasons. I have been using LiveOneCare and find ti quite buggy. Funny that it really doesn'twork very well with Vista. I'm typically a huge Microsoft fan however, this appneeds help!
