Batch Files Won't Run From Startup Folder
I have a batch file that will not load on startup when placed in either C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\ or C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\. I can manually run the file, or run other non-batch files from it, but for some reason I can't run a batch file. Any ideas? (Scheduled Task will not work for this situation)

Check the event viewer for any clues. Jerry

Looks like because the shortcut to the batch file was set to Run As Administrator and UAC was enabled, the prompt was not displayed for whatever reason, and it prevented the file from running. Disabling UAC completely allows the script to run...

Why won't Scheduled Task run? Take a look at this to see if it helps. http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2070-task-scheduler.html

It's not an option because the script changes the computer name and user name and causes the task scheduler to throw a hissy fit.
