Ok here is whats going on: I have written a simple batch to do automatic backups to a network drive. The batch works fine, the problem is i can only access the backup files if i manually type in the path to that particular backup. In other words if i go to that mapped drive it looks empty but if i type in the full path it shows everything i backed up. Is there anybody out there that has experienced this? This is not an active directory enviroment, most pcs are windows xp pro with service pack 3, and a hand full of windows 7 mixed in.

could they be hidden for some reason? go to the file properties and turn hidden files and folders on

Thanks for the fast response you guys! But no the share is not hidden, the full path is in the batch and it is not in offline mode. The plot thickens because now some of the backups are showing and some arent. There is seemingly no connection with the ones that arent showing, i cant figure this out.
