Basic Request Tracking
From the web front end server, where I have deployed my web application, I can access the website by making an entry in the local host file of the server. However, when I am trying to access the same web app through a host header entered into DNS from my laptop which is in a different domain, I can not get to it. I suspect it is a firewall rule issue. However, I want to track where my request is getting blocked. My laptop runs Windows XP and the web servers run 64 bit windows 2003. I am not allowed to use third party tools. I can use windows and Microsoft network tracking tools like netmon. Thanks Soumya1 person got this answerI do too

How about (at a command prompt on the XP machine) "tracert" and then the address of the server you're trying to reach?-B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook

Thanks Ben. I will start doing more research on traceart to use it more extensively and effectively.
