Bare metal deployment best practice

I work in a validation team where I have a set of drivers that need to be tested against Windows 10 pre-release builts. I am in the process of designing automation for continuous deployment. What are the industry's best solutions to solve the OS deployment to the machine?

I am aware how the OS is installed in general and how drivers are injected. I need a robust way to deploy, either via a second OS ("safe os") partition or USB boot. I'd like to not have to copy the OS to deploy on USB, I think the two alternatives are to boot PE from USB and get the image off a network, or to boot into an agent on the USB that will sit and wait for an OS image.

Any advice?
