Bad Log-in screen and question windows in 7
Hi there, I don't really know where to put this item so here's a new tread. Just Installed the latest Windows 7 and there is a big problem for me that made the OS unworkable. When I tried to install the OS the screen became scrambled when I needed to enter the product key. I couldn't read anything. I tried to make sense of it all but it was just unreadable. then the thing gave me a minimal readable screen (same problem) to fill out my log-in password. yeah!! So that's what I did. I logged in with that terrible scrambled screen to install my driver for my card. Hoping that would solve the problem. Its a NVIDIA Geforce 7600 GS. Before I could install the driver I got a blue screen! Rebooted and installed the drivers. Rebooted again and still the scrambling of the screen was there. When I am logged in there seems to be no problem except for the alarm windows scrambling the screen so I can not choose. This makes the whole OS unusable for me. Never had this problem before on an OS. Well exept for Vista that had the same problem. I formatted the disk and I'm working with the old XP again. I can now read the screen again!!! So far for my 7 experience. I can only say that I'm not really impressed with Windows 7 for so far. I hope it wil get better in time. I really want to help with making this OS better but it's just not working for me at the moment. Grz

Thank you for your feedback. Mostly, the issue is caused by video driver. If youencounter similar issue next, you can try to login Safe Mode tocheck whetherthe issue still persistsor not. If not, please manually install latest video driver to fix the issue. Thanks.

There is no problem in the Safe Mode. But it was kinda irritating that the problem started when I had to fill out the product key and my password (I was still installing the machine at that point). I figured that out that I had to instert the product key there when I installed the machine the second time.It would be handier if it happened after that (asafe and readableproduct key and password screenwould be nice;-) After that I don' t bother. For example when logging in the first time I don't mind that there is a glitch in this beta. Istill think of the popup screens as a glitch to, cause i'm not stupid. If I wat to install something why do Ineed to click extra to conferm.A safety measurement I can understand that but it still isenoing. The driver I installed was the latest. I figured it had to be a driver problem. But installing the latest driver didn't yet help. So I'm gonna wait for the newest one... For now I'll be executing unnessesery glitchy popup notifications. I think things will have to get better in time. For the rest the OS seems to be alright. It'sfor me easy to use, except for the bluescreens once a while, it's usable. It defenatly isn't stable yet. But things are getting better.
