Backup won't accept formatted floppy in drive A:
I am running XP with SP3 and my Windows backup program works perfectly, creating the backup file on an external HD. At the end it asks me to insert a formatted floppy into drive A:, which I do, but no matter what I do, it just does not see it and asks me to insert a floppy again. The floppy is there, it has been formatted and is clean, and it works fine, except for the backup program. Why? What can I do?1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi,Ideally, Windows Backup and Restore will not ask for floppy disc drive. Are you trying to create automated system recovery (ASR) backup? Are you setting up password protection for the backup on your external hard drive? If this is the case, I would suggest you not to set password for your backup.Refer: How to use Backup to protect data and restore files and folders on your computer in Windows XP and Windows VistaHope the information helps.
