Backup at shutdown
I was wanting to backup a Windows 7 Pro PC to a network volume at shutdown, and was wondering whether there's a idiot's guide to doing it? I kept on getting errors when I was writing a batch file, and was a bit unwilling to provide a user/pass for network access on the command line.

Thanks, but I've already been moved here from another technet forum. The Scripting Guys forum seems to be for a bit more than just a straight batch file, which is what this should need.

Use group policy editor (gpedit.msc) to trigger your batch/script file on shutdown/logoff.

As the batch file won't even run that doesn't help much.

No solution for it in Windows 7. You may define a scheduled backup as a workaround. Or you can just enable System Protection. Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
