Backup Data of Bit Locked Drive
Hello there I was using Windows 7 Ultimate with my important data backup in Partition in Drive D. That drive was bit locked but was not completely encrypted (0.2%) encryption. I remember the password of my bit locked drive but didn't had the recovery key saved to any removable media. For some reasons, my harddisk become extremely slow and it took minutes to start windows 7. almost 20 mins. (previously it was working fine) and resource monitor show extremely high hard disk activity while there were no major applications running at the processes. Since harddisk become considerably slow, i formatted Drive C from Win 7 Installation CD but now i am unable to install windows 7 as system takes hours to install and is mostly stuck on installing features and updates of Win7 during Win 7 installation. All i want is to saved my data stored in D to another drive or removable media cause data is quite much important to me. Any help please?

Hi, Please check if BitLocker Repair Tool can help you. However, please note that you must have at least one of the following: Recovery passwordRecovery key file locationRecovery package file location and the corresponding recovery passwordRecovery package file location and the corresponding recovery key file location If you do not even have the recovery password, Im afraid that the data cannot be recovered. Hope this helps. Jeremy Wu TechNet Community Support
