Backup Bitlocker Powershell, manage-bde
hello, I am trying to backup bitlocker recovery information to AD from within Powershell, and was able to isolate the numerical ID and store it in a variable - is it possible to use a variable as shown? I tried using single & double quotes both inside and outside the {}. manage-bde -protectors -adbackup c: -ID {variable} Thanks.

I think it needs double quotes but I'm not 100% on that. Have only had to use it a few times as I allow MBAM to store it into AD for me. The command is correct, you are using the GUID correctly? If you run it manually it works I assume?...you sure it's not getting stored? You know you have to install the BitLocker Management Feature on a machine to be able to view the recovery key in AD, right?PLEASE MARK ANY ANSWERS TO HELP OTHERS Blog: rorymon.com Twitter: @Rorymon
