Did you run the backup manually or system performs it in scheduled? Were you performing a System Image or general backup? At this point, please try the following suggestions to narrow down the root causes of the issue. a. Test the issue in Clean Boot to check if it is caused by 3rd party programs or services. b. Run Check Disk Utility to make sure that there are no errors on your hard drives. 1. Click the Start Button, type "cmd" (without quotation marks) in the Search bar. 2. Right click on the search result listed upper and click Run as Administrator. 3. In the open command window, input the following command and press Enter Key after it. Chkdsk /f /r 4. Please type Y and press Enter. 5. Please restart the computer and let the tool check all drives on the computer. C. Ensure that the backup is not running at the same time as another backup as the custom provider may only allow one snap-shot at a time. For More Information and help related to windows 7 backup error

Hi, I would like to confirm the following questions first: 1. Can you backup to the internal hard drive succesfully? 2. What error message was encountered when backup frozen? 3. Does it work if you try to backup a text file only? Based on the current situation, you may verify and start the following services: • Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider service • Volume Shadow Copy Service • Windows Backup You may also search for the solution with the key words, "Windows 7", "KB", "Backup" and the error code in Microsoft website. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
