BSOD on startup of Borderlands
So, I decided to start playing Borderlands again and installed it on my computer. Its worked before with this same setup, and installation went fine. However, this time, whenever i start up Borderlands (or attempt to) i get a BSOD. Below is a copy of the problem details. Also, I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the game several times, updating all my drivers, uninstalling and re-installing my drivers, and cleaned up my registry with ccleaner. This is the only game i'm having this problem with. With any game or application that demands performance from the display, the display drivers should be one of your first suspects. Go to the ATI.com web site and see if there is a newer driver than the one you have installed. I believe Catalyst 11.8 is their current release (though personally I have seen problems with 11.8 and prefer 11.7). Download/install the driver that matches your video card and OS, and you may find your game now works properly. -Noel

The video drivers were my first suspect, and I updated to 11.8 before posting here. After updating and still having problems, I uninstalled my video drivers completely and re-installed a fresh set of drivers, which still didnt do any good.
