BSOD caused by atapi.sys 0x0000009f and by ntoskrnl.exe 0x00000124 on Windows 8.1

I just built a new computer out of an older server tower and installed Windows 8.1.   The computer is set up to run long multi day physics simulations and has been crashing when going into sleep mode with a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILER error.  I've run BluScreenViewer to look at minidump files and found that the drivers atapi.sys and ntoskrnl.exe are at fault.  I am not sure how to proceed in fixing this problem.  A summary of the BSOD printouts are given below:

Both of the DMPS in your link are from Feb 2015 so no longer relevant.  Where are the ones from your last post?

Hi,

According to the dump file, it seems like caused by atapi.sys (Windows IDE/ATAPI Port driver).

While another dump indicate it's caused by AuthenticAMD which from AMD CPU.
