BSOD - SuperMicro x9dai
hello all I have been recently upgrading my previous PC to some newer components. Since then I have yet to have a day where windows does not freeze. My configuration is the following: SuperMicro X9dai mobo with the latest firmware. NVidia Quadro 4000 with also the latest driver. Dual E5-2670 CPUs 64GB Ram Samsung 830 512 GB SSD. Antec Quattro 1200 PSU This all started because I am building this rig for graphics and video purposes. I also have a C2075 Tesla which I have not installed due to the multiple BSOD's. I have tried single CPU with dimm test per CPU socket and everything passes on the MEMTEST86 app. I can also included a zip with all my mini-dumps but I cannot find an attach file option on the post toolbar. Any help/advise is truly appreciated and thanks in advance.

1. Hope you have AHCI set in BIOS. 2. I would start from the scratch. After vanilla plain W 7 install, procede with chipset driver http://www.supermicro.com/support/resources/results.cfm 3. Conntinue with Audio and video. There are several possibillities for Qudro 4000 http://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro-tesla-win7-winvista-64bit-297.03-whql-driver.html 4. Driver for Tesla card is http://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro-tesla-win7-winvista-64bit-297.03-whql-driver.html 5. It follows that drivers in 3 and 4 are the same which is fine 6. Check the condition of RAM voltage in BIOS. 7. Memtst is slow test. Try more "aggressive" one. 8. Though the power supply seems to be properly chosen, I would check the voltage under load. M.

Also, can you zip up the minidump files in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder and make available (provide link) via Windows Live SkyDrive or similar site? The following link has information on using Windows Live SkyDrive: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproui/thread/4fc10639-02db-4665-993a-08d865088d65 If you have problems zipping the minidump files copy the minidump files to another location such as a folder on the Desktop Also, you do not necessarily have to zip up the minidump files, you can upload them one at a time.
