With fingerprint readers becoming far more common, it became clear that defining a common framework for exposing, managing, and using these technologies was necessary to drive development and reliability. If you want to enable Biometric Authentication such as fingerprint, you can contact the vendor of your hardware to check if they have the fingerprint detecter and software. If you want to develop code for fingerprint, you may conisder writing to Windows Biometric Framework API.
