You can save them as .txt files, but you would have to save them one at a time. You can save them as .eml files to your HDD, or CD/DVD. These instructions are for a readable CD, but you can skip that and just leave the folders on the Desktop, or in My Documents, etc. Copy some and see if you like how they appear.Note: If you remove them from OE, getting them back will be ____. If you want to backup OE, that's a different approach. To backup messages to a readable CD: Create a folder on your Desktop, then in Outlook Express open the folder with the messages you want to save. Highlight one message, then Ctrl+A will highlight them all, (or hold the Ctrl button down while you select only the messages you want), Now, drag and drop them to the folder on your Desktop. (Easiest if the folder shortcut is on the Taskbar). Now you can copy that folder to a CD and you will be able to read the messages on the CD by double-clicking on them. You may find that messages with the same subject get appended, probably with (1), (2), etc. One of these programs may be of use to you. Have a look and decide.
