Automatically Launch Full Screen Modern Remote Desktop Application At Login?

We would like to get Intel Compute Sticks and set them up as single-purpose Remote Desktop kiosks.

What we want to to happen when the device is powered on or restarted is to autologin with a specified user account and for the Microsoft Remote Desktop Store app to autolaunch in full screen so that the user sees nothing else.  They simply type in the computer name or IP address of the system they want to connect to.

We also want to make sure the user cannot save their RDP credentials so that the next person to use the kiosk will not have access to the the previous user's credentials.

How can this be done?

Hi,

Windows 8.1 comes with an excellent feature where you can lockdown the device allowing the user to use only one application. You need to keep in mind that this application needs to be a modern application and cannot be a desktop application.

Since we only cannot test it on Remote app due to limitation of our environment, we tested it on Internet explorer Modern version.

Is there a different feature that does something similar with domain user accounts?

Hi

Unfortunately for local administrator accounts and a domain user account is not supported to work with the Assigned Access feature at the present stage, so I am afraid the answer is negative if you need to run kiosks mode for modern application in Windows 8.1 under domain user account.
