Automatic logon netplwiz
Hi I'm using win 7 and have 2 accounts - 1 Admin and 1 Standard User I use netplwiz to automatically log on as the Standard User. Occasionally I want to start the pc and go straight to the Admin. At the moment I start up the pc, go straight to Standard User, log off, and then at the log on screen, choose Admin and log on Question - is there a key I can press when booting or starting up that will allow me to go to the login screen to choose Admin, thus temporarily bypassing the automatic logon sequence of netplwiz to Standard User? Thanks

Hi, · If you want to bypass the automatic logon to log on as a different user, hold down the SHIFT key when the computer starts. In addition, if your administrator account is not listed on the welcome screen, we can press Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice to show the logon window. After that, please check if we can log into the system with an administrator account. Regards, Sabrina

Hi Sabrina, Within Win 7 as I use the automatic log on immediately to standard user. At what point should I press the SHIFT or Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys to force the login screen? I have held down the SHIFT key from the moment I saw the moving windows logo at the start - but it just proceeded to the welcome screen and then on to the standard user desktop. I pressed the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys at the welcome screen which then asked me to log off as standard user/switch user etc (list of 5 options) which is the same as using the start orb shut down options. Regards
