Automated background wallpaper changes to every PC in my domain
HI, I'm managing a small office. Does anyone know of a way i can set up all my PC's to change their wallpaper everyday? PC's are Windows 7 x64. All PC's are on a domain. Running on Windows Server 2008 Standard I know i can set a specific background for all PC's in my domain through GPO. But is there a way i can automate the background wallpaper to change to different backgrounds (that I specify) every day, etc? I also know that in windows 7 there is an option to auto change my backgrouds to whatever time delays I'd like. But I don't want to go to every user and change it to that option and then direct it to the pictures I want. BTW - I'm going to have my background pictures on a share drive, so that I can point my GPO setting or whatever to that for everybody. And I have the option to move/remove pictures from that folder as I see fit. Thanks for any assistance.

Why don't you specify a wallpaper via GPO where that wallpaper is on a network share. Then just change the wallpaper on the network drive everyday?

hmm. No, That's going to be too much effort to change it Everyday. Someone is going to forget/get too lazy to change it. Is there maybe a script I can run to change my GPO to point to image1 then image2 then image3 etc.? Thanks,

It would be easier to have GPO point to an specific image then write a scheduled task (batch file) to replace the image each day. No messing with GPO, simple batch programming.Rich Why can't I be different and original like everybody else? - Vivian Stanshal
